This page is under constructionNaples International Airport (Aeroporto Capodichino) is located 5 miles north of Naples. Buses from airport to Piazza Garibaldi and Piazza Muncipio are frequent. Car rental and Taxis are available outside the arrivals hall. See the website of the airport for more details. Main Naples Train Station is located in Piazza Garibaldi, at the east of the city center. In upper section of the station you can take national and international trains; in lower level private lines to Pompeii, Herculaneum and Sorrento. Naples metropolitan rail transport system is composed of two underground lines (line 1 and line 6) and four cable railways (Chiaia, Montesanto, Centrale and Mergellina). See Metronapoli website for more details. Local buses connect well all the city, but tend to be crowded in Naples. Get ANM bus information at the west end of the piazza. Bus tickets can be bought at a "tabacchi" or tobacco shop or at newsstands. Taxis stands ara available in all main squares. if you use a taxi, make sure it's an authorized one. Boats and hydrofoils points of boarding for Capri, Sorrento, Ischia, Procida are located at Piazza Municipio just in front of "Castel Nuovo" (Molo Beverello). You can just walk up and buy tickets to the islands. |
